When you’re out doing estimates, bring a digital camera – or even use your cell phone camera – with you to capture an image or two of the property. There are several reasons this will help you back at your office:
a) The photo will help jog your memory when you’re figuring the cost of the job
b) When you’re talking to your customer on the phone, you can view the photo and talk as if you are on site (and your customer won’t know it!)
c) You can show the photo to your crews at dispatch time – helps to ensure that everyone is on the same page
d) You can include a copy of the photo with your work orders so your crew can confirm they are at the correct location
