Graco, an industry leader in innovative thermoplastic line striping solutions, recently introduced the world’s first fast-melt, on-board thermoplastic striping system, the patent pending ThermoLazer® ProMelt™. An industry first, the Graco ThermoLazer ProMelt System safely and easily melts 300 pounds (six 50-pound bags) of thermoplastic material on board in less than one hour with a one man operation. This not only increases productivity from one job per day to up to three, but also reduces time, labor and capital costs by eliminating the need for expensive support systems like pre-melt kettle trucks or trailers and additional crew.

Graco’s attachable patented LineDriver™ connection system (another industry first) extends the use of the ThermoLazer ProMelt System from a walk-behind to a user-friendly ride-on system that can increase productivity with less fatigue and improve performance with straighter lines. Graco’s EasyGlide™ Wheel Mount System is another industry first with the FatTrack™ front-mounted swivel wheel and dual rear pneumatic air-filled tires that make maneuvering curves and turns easier, faster and safer.

The Graco ThermoLazer ProMelt System features the new SmartDie™ II system, the next generation in innovative steel design that enables use with or without heat for more flexibility in all weather conditions. Hardened steel dies with built-in mil thickness adjustment ensure durability. The SmartDie II system features no-spring heavy-duty construction that stays on the unit making it easier to clean without the need to remove it every time. This unique die system “floats” with the surface enabling accurate placement of thermoplastic and improved line quality. The no-tool die change-out system makes it fast and easy to switch line widths.

According to Graco Contractor Equipment Division, Worldwide Business Development Manager Tim Wehner, “The ThermoLazer ProMelt System give contractors what they’ve been asking for – a fast, safe, easier way to melt thermoplastic and increase productivity with less investment than before. We believe the ThermoLazer ProMelt System will become the new industry standard for thermoplastic line striping.”
