CINCINNATI – BOMAG introduces a new single-directional vibratory plate, designed for asphalt. The BP 12/50A was introduced at the World of Asphalt show in Cincinnati.

With a higher centrifugal force, wider working width and a higher working speed, the BP 12/50A offers improved performance over the previous model, matching or exceeding the performance of competitive machines. It features an air-cooled Honda engine with oil alert. The engine is vibration isolated, extending the life and reducing wear. The compactor also features engine protection to prevent damage, and optional water sprinkler system, and a specially shaped base plate for asphalt.

The vibration-isolated steering handle offers low hand-arm vibrations, making the compactor easier and more comfortable to use. It also features a single, balanced lifting point, and optional wheels for easy transport. The removable water tank has an easy-to-read water level gauge.

Part of BOMAG’s new BP series, the BP 12/50A weighs 165 pounds, has a 19.7-inch working width, and offers 2,700 pounds of centrifugal force.
