Hello,

With springtime fast approching what are you planning on doing to get ready for the season? What type of pump are you using? What are your likes and dislikes about your current pump systems? All comments and questions are welcome no matter what system you use!!!! Please share us!!!

I have two trucks, each with 1,000 gal tanks.  Both have air systems.  I would like to upgrade to a Neal hydraulic pump system.  I have looked at your website, but don’t see where you offer the pump system without the tank.  Can I just purchase the pump system?  If so, Can you supply me with further info?
Thanks,
Squeegee Dave

We do not offer a portable pumping system because of the tremendous expense. Its not cost effective to spend the money without a tank. Please call me at 770 830 1282 and we can discuss some other options.

Thanks for the reply.  I was afraid you’d say that.  Bringing the rig to Georgia is not an option, as I’m in
Washington State.  Guess I’ll have to keep my eyes and ears open and find a used unit.

Thanks,

Been reading your Handbook,

Your assumption, example page 6, is two coats and 5 cubic yd’s. per gal. coverage.

But you do not consider these assumptions into your calculations.

How do we determine or control number of coats and 5 cubic yd’s per gal.

Total gal. of mix required to do any job is critically dependent upon the number of coats and coverage.

There are many variables to determine the exact answer to that question. In the handbook we try to use an average of all jobs. To give you a quick answer though. The factors involved are, Tip size, consistency of your material (asphalt emulsion, Coal Tar, or oil based sealer). Other factors include pressure of hydraulic or air powered machines, PSI of material flow. How consistent the coverage might be ( Your Spray Man).
It is not our intent to be exact with mix. We are just working with averages. To be exact quite frankly and for lack of a better word experience has everything to do with it. If you would like to discuss this further so I don’t have to write a book on this one and a book can be created on this on this subject alone real quick.  You are always welcome to call me 770 830 1282. Another authority in this business with a wealth of experience more than me is Harry Carter of Gem Seal Atlanta 404 696 7660 he can really give you some great pointers. He has been a wonderful mentor for me since I started in the business in 1994.
I hope this helps you understand how this whole material thing works. Again the question asked has a broad range of answers that’s why I think you could learn a whole lot through a phone conversation.
Happy Sealing!!!!
Eric
