Hi all,

I have a clogged hydraulic hose that I cant seem to unclog. I really DO NOT want to pay over $100 on a new hose. Does anybody have any suggestions in how I would unclog it?

Thanks!!!

Are you sure its a hydraulic hose?? What is it doing that makes you think you have a clog? I have very rarely seen clogs in hydraulic hoses before because they get very little trash introduced nor have I seen them cost into the 100.00 range. What makes more sense to me is a Material hose clog.

If that’s the case there could be a number of things happening most likely your material may need a little more water mixed with it to loosen the thickness. This problem is common with a lot of Asphalt emulsion sealer and Modified upgraded coal tar sealers that only require small amounts of water or no water at all. Check with your supplier for more information on adding water.

With all that said. I have also very rarely seen material hose clogs as well because very little air is inside that hose to make sealer dry unless you have let the machine sit for a long period of time. Your best bet time wise would be to replace it. But If you do indeed have a clog the best thing to do is remove it from the machine and pump water through it. This will be the most likely way to try to bust loose a clog. Hint: Its not easy!!
