Seven years ago, National Pavement Expo West was created as a regional alternative to National Pavement Expo, its successful national sister show. Since then, the event has grown to attract thousands of paving and pavement maintenance professionals looking for valuable and effective business solutions.
This year’s event, scheduled for November 20-22, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will continue to connect attendees with information and products critical to enhancing business operations and driving profits.
First-Rate Instruction
NPE West’s valuable seminars offer comprehensive education covering a variety of topics within the industry. Sessions are highlighted by practical, up-to-date tips for professionals to take home to their respective business operations.
This year, attendees will master new trends and hear about the latest business developments in five brand-new paving seminars. New conference seminars include Improving Your Infrared Pavement Repair Operation, Pavement Defects & Repair Strategies, Pavement Preservation Strategies for 2009, Improve Your Overlay Work, and How Storm Water Management Affects Pavers and Sweepers.
In addition to this year’s new paving sessions, there are over 25 additional sessions in the areas of sweeping, striping, sealcoating, repair, cracksealing, and management.
Expert-Led Workshops
Taught by popular speaker Brad Humphrey of the Pinnacle Development Group, How to Turn Your Crew into a High-performance Team is one new workshop that will sure to be a big hit. Humphrey introduces attendees to a team-based work system that has been field-tested in the construction industry and is proven to be successful.
Jeff Stokes of Next Level Contractor System guides attendees through creating a written marketing strategy in another new workshop, “Killer” Marketing for Contractors. He’ll show how marketing with a purpose can help in outselling other contractors by as much as 5 to 1!
Back by popular demand is the Asphalt Institute Lightning Course on the Essentials of Asphalt Mix and Maintenance. The highly regarded course helps attendees quickly get up to speed on the fundamentals of HMA materials and “best practices” for the maintenance and repair of asphalt pavements.

After taking in NPE West’s informative conference sessions, attendees head to the exhibit floor to find the tools to put their knowledge to use. Showcasing a wide array of solutions for the jobsite, the NPE West exhibit floor has proven to be a top purchasing resource for paving and pavement maintenance professionals year after year.
